Chinese Chicken With Broccoli

INGREDIENTS
- 400 gr Chicken Breast cut into cubes
- 1 large Head of Broccoli cut into florets
- 1 large carrot cut into slices
- 3 gloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tbsps ginger, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 2 tbsps Hoisin Sauce
- 2 tbsps light soy sauce
- 2 tbsps honey
- 200 ml water
DIRECTIONS
1. Steam the broccoli and carrots with 100ml water to the softness just a bit firmer than you prefer & set aside.
2. Heat a nonstick pan over a high heat and add the oil. Add the chicken and brown on all sides to seal the meat. Add garlic and ginger.
3. Cover with a lid and cook for 12 minutes
4. Add the broccoli and carrots into the chicken pan, the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and the hot water and bring to a boil. Drizzle with the honey, cover, and simmer, for 5 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce reduced.
5. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot with steamed rice.
